They are interested in science and health librarianship which focuses on increasing inclusivity in the sciences and working alongside community to explore and fulfill their information needs. They live in Toronto and have an incredible orange cat named Simba. Presentation summary: The presentation will cover three EDI initiatives that Kawmadie took part in while at Leddy Library, University of Windsor. The first one is a pronoun and gender diversity training workshop that was conducted for library staff. The second will look at a community outreach project that was implemented alongside a staff member at uWindsor's Aboriginal Education Centre. The third initiative was the creation of two research guides which were meant to act as part of Leddy's continued commitment to inclusivity, on 2SLGBTQ+ Research and Anti-Black Racism Research. Kawmadie will talk about each initiative individually: how they came to be, what their goals were, whether the goals were successfully attained, and finally what was learned from each project.
