I didn't think passing Bill C223 to study a Guaranteed Livable Income would be an easy win, but neither did I think it would be so strongly defeated.
And this was just for a study! The cost would have been minimal, but I guess politicians were afraid the study results might have indicated they've done a poor job of providing the social safety net they claim we have in Canada.

After #PMJT and #PP had their dustup in #QuestionPeriod, they joined hands with the #BQ to defead the Guaranteed Livable Incom bill #C223.
Which suggests the "homophobic insult" was actually a collaboration between the #LPC and the #CPC to distract people from noticing they worked together to defeat universal basic income #UBI.
The #CandianSenate bill #S233 should still be alive and working its way through.
Odds #Trudeau will #prorogue early to not face it?
