A Common Tiger (Danaus genutia) spotted at Coney Island, Singapore on 10 Nov 2024. Despite the name, it is less common than the Plain Tiger Butterfly.

The Common Tiger could be mistaken from the North American Monarch butterfly, if you didn't know the location.

"Opening my eyes moves me out of this gentle trance, reminding me that there is no rain; rather, there are millions of monarch butterflies shimmering overhead. Bursts of bright orange are so thick that at times they shield my eyes from the blazing sun." —Romina Cenisio for Atmos
