A bit disappointed by the Boston Underground Film Festival scheduling this year.
The Friday and Saturday midnight showings overlap with other screenings, are in a neighboring city (albeit at an excellent theater), and end after the MBTA stops running.
Also sad about the omission of the music video block "Sound & Vision", although I get it, as it wasn't well attended the two years I went.

Excited for the Boston Underground Film Festival to start! I'm seated for The Surfer, which is the only film in the whole weekend I've heard of. That's part of why I loved this last year: the joy of discovery!

You've got a couple shorts I saw at #BostonUndergroundFilmFestival , and a couple other shorts from Mike Cheslik I'd been meaning to watch since seeing Hundreds of Beavers.
Most of the rest of the week was catching up on reviews. I've still got more writing to do, but Sunday I'll be journeying forth to catch Late Night With the Devil.
The schedule for each year of the festival back to 2018 is online, and each year had a Sound + Vision block (no idea why they switched to an ampersand this year).

If you'd told me one of the best films I'd see at the #BostonUndergroundFilmFestival would be a road trip comedy about Juggalos (that is, fans of ICP) traveling to The Gathering of the Juggalos, I'd never have believed you. But here we are.

Off Ramp: Directed by Nathan Tape. With Reed Diamond, Laura Cayouette, Jared Bankens, David Jensen. A couple of lovable, degenerate Juggalos must sojourn through America's hellish underbelly to The Gathering of the Juggalos, the one place on earth they feel accepted.

Also, quite pleased with how much I liked Femme and Humanist Vampire, given they're the two I was most excited about.
