Whenever I add a Star Trek novel to bookwyrm I wonder what exactly should be in the title field.
Should it be, e.g.:

Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Buried Age

or:

The Buried Age
(with Star Trek: The Next Generation only in the series field.)

Are there any experienced people on here to help me out? How is it correctly done? And where can I find help with these things in the future? Is there a guide somewhere that I just haven't found yet?

Thank you!

@tripofmice Hey! is flower's port not exposed by default when deploying a docker image? #bookwyrmhelp #Bookwyrm
Hey, @bookwyrm, is there a way to delete all my books? I did a GR import and a lot went wrong, so I would like to restart and import smaller sections at a time, that I can properly edit. I would also be OK if you do it in the database. [email protected] is my handle.
Or if someone else uses it and can point me where I can do it. @bookstodon #bookwyrmhelp

Setting up BookWyrm was not a success and drained all my energy for days trying to get it to work either with docker and dockless on Nginx reverse proxy, documentation is outdated and in slow development.

Out of the fediverse software I tried, Mastodon being quite complex, but no more complicated than BookWyrm.

Guess I can cross that one out.

Does anyone use #bookwyrm who can tell me if there is a way for me to post a review there and have it feed automagically to my Mastodon?

I've got a #BookWyrm question and I hope someone can help me.
I find it very hard to find people and reviews from people outside my own instance. But I managed it and found one that I wanted to "like". Problem is, of course, that I can't because I have no account on that other instance.
Now, with services like Calckey or Mastodon I simply copy the URL, paste it in that services search box on my insatance, get the post and like it or boost it or comment on it. Done.
With BookWyrm that does not seem to work. I copy the URL, go to my own instance, paste it in the search box and get no result.

Is that just how it works? Or am I missing something?

@blind_mapmaker

Bookwyrm is the fediverse equivalent.

Ok...
#Bookwyrm is still having issues yet...
I think I should consider another option, should be free speech, private, safe, etc. As long as I stay away of Big Tech.
Can anyone tell me which one?

I don't see a way to search my own books. Am I missing something?

Is there any way to show more than 15 books in any given list? Usually an interface will have some option to set how many items in a list will show. 15 seems kind of skimpy. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something.
