When I'm forgetful sharing our new arrivals it's because I'm working on inventory that's too hot for social-media, rearranging shelves, or some other job that isn't very photogenic. Here's a pic of our sci-fi/fantasy shelves–in need of a refill. The empty spot on the shelves is where Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series was; I'll have to be on the lookout for refills.

The ancestors are always near. Grandma Ruth Bonnett reminds me to straighten things up. The shop was her space. While Grandpa Harold was visiting publishers, Grandma kept the store in order, for almost 60 years.

What a day! After a week+ of torturous cold, the wind let up, temps almost reached freezing, & people burst forth like dandelions in Spring.
From the forecast, I'd planned an early start to again help a friend preparing to move. I acquired boxes of nice books for the shop & a laser-disc player + movies for myself.
I opened to quiet & soon it was nonstop hustle–everyone wanted things yet to be priced. Busy, busy! A very nice change from the recent lonely days. 🙂👍

I don't have a book photo today. In-store temperature dropped into the lower 50s °F (about 11-12°C) so, I turned on the heat.
The books & I should be nice and comfy 68°F/20°C through Spring. 🙂

OtD 1966, Star Trek premiered on U.S. TV. I saw some in 1st run on a small b&w. I've been a fan since. In March '23: my 1st phaser! I used a shot of the bridge for this FPS-type pic. 2 wks ago I got a Lucille Ball Barbie™ to honor her contribution in Trek's existence. 2 days ago I reunited with my '80s library, >50% Trek!
