A good example is in New Hampshire. #Hassan had a sizeable lead about two months ago but #Bolduc , a literal election denier, got funds from democrats. Democrats have been funneling money into the campaign funds of election deniers and other outright fascist candidates because they think they can “beat” them using moderate candidates.
The problem with this line of thinking is that average citizens hate moderates now. They’re tired of the same old #politic year after year and election after election. People are angry. But it’s hard to see democrats winning this season. In all but two elections since the 70s, the president’s party has lost ground in at least ONE OF the chambers. Most of the time, though, the president’s party loses ground in both!!
One of the only exceptions was George bush following 9/11, where he enjoyed the largest jump in approval and largest approval period in Gallup polling history.
The country flips so often because people always hate who they elect. We can see this because both #trump And #Biden have -10% approval ratings or worse. Dems are gonna lose the house and will be lucky if they keep the senate, given these trends.
I despise both parties, as a disclaimer. I wish both parties would do more to save our earth instead of prioritizing the profits of themselves and their donors.
