Besides music one thing I absolutely love to do is make sounds for apps. Recently I made sounds for @Iconfactory #Tapestry.
In years gone by I created sounds for #Twitterrific for Mac (also from The Iconfactory), #BlindSquare for iOS, TWBlue and Chicken Nugget for PC and quite a few others.

All you travel savvy #Blind folks out there, is #Blindsquare still a good app for turn-by-turn navigation from one place to another? I'm not keen on spending $40 on something I'm not able to look at and try out first. I'm looking for something I can put origin/destination in and have the app walk me through the route as I move, giving me street names that are ahead and whether or not I'm supposed to go straight or turn on that street, as an example.

#Navigürtel Test 5/5: Die Navigationsfunktion werde ich weniger häufig nutzen. Sie ist ganz nett, mich verwirrt aber manchmal, dass die Richtungsangabe via Vibration zwar sehr intuitiv ist, dies aber nicht mit der Ungenauigkeit von GPS im Einklang steht. So manches Mal will ich schon dem Signal folgend abbiegen - bis ich realisiere, dass es dafür zu früh oder spät ist. Empfehlen kann ich dafür die Nutzung des Gürtels im Kompass-Modus unter gleichzeitiger Verwendung von #BlindSquare.

Do any #blind #BlindSquare users know what happened to the ability to scan for beacons? I tried to use the feature today but I couldn't find it anywhere in the app, despite the help section referencing it. Am I missing something obvious here?
