A few days after writing this blog post on the situation in Utrecht, I learned that Gert Biesta, who made education about connecting with the world, has been made redundant at the University of Edinburgh. It is shocking that someone who has had such an impact on education can be made redundant. This says so much about where we are. It is hard not to be discouraged.
