How I spent my Beltaine day: Digging holes and planting the first ten (of about seventy) Dahlia tubers, shoveling generous topsoil over the bed as I went. Gorgeous weather for the start of Celtic Summer with temperatures into the 20s.
How I'm spending my Beltaine evening: Drinking until I can't feel my shoulders anymore.

From my Lincolnshire roots we hang cowslips for Walpurgis night (30th April) to ward away evil. Cowslips are getting harder to find.
Beltane this year is a roots and then a flower day with the moon crossing from Virgo into Libra.
I’ve sown beetroot and carrots. To be followed later with planting out calendula, nasturtium and borage.
We lit a fire to remember people passed. One more left yesterday. We are tired but now the healing starts. #Beltain
