Okay, #fediverse - particularly the #lemmyverse or #lemmy users I should say:

Besides #Beehaw, what Lemmy platforms seek to uphold strict community guidelines - or which ones actually upholds the #CoC?

I've been on Beehaw for some time now, but I also think they may have been too overzealous regarding their blocking. Maybe I want something less strict and more permissive?

I'm considering making another Lemmy alt that is. Please advise.

I'm pleased to announce that the working title of the radical media network I've been working on helping to create is The Intersection! It is inspired by the French #ReseauMutu but can be based on a framework similar to that of #Beehaw. There's an in-depth explanation on how this was arrived at, on my site, here: https://www.mediaactivist.com/manifesto/ If you're interested in getting involved, let me know -- and in the spirit of intersectionality, if you'd like to contribute your own photo of your hand raising a phone, these could be used in similar posters, hopefully reflecting a diverse range of people! Thanks and solidarity!

@futurebird the contrast between #Twitter and #Mastodon is staggering.

I see some crowd overlap with #Threads and it's like a swarm of killer bees off in the horizon.

Oh sure, they might not be that close at the minute, but that could change drastically.

I'm also on #Beehaw, incidentally, because it's quite a nice, non-volatile link sharing community. I'm all a buzz about it.

So I'm considering deleting my #LemmyMl account and solely relying on #Beehaw.

We've seen an influx of #Reddit users, and with them, comes a certain energy.

I went to Threads to check out my artists accounts and read a few comments there. Same energy.

I went into my #Instagram artists account to read a few comments. SAME ENERGY.

At the end of the day, having something like Beehaw for those of us who are shedding toxicity and brainrot is a blessing.

beehaw.org sure has a lot of #tankies and #russiantrolls these days. They defederated from lemmy.world but I don't see how it's any better on #beehaw.

#Beehaw vs #Lemmy devs (Mar 9)

"our mission statement seems to be strongly at odds with […] devs arguing against the removal of transphobic or racist instances on the join-lemmy homepage.
[…]
we believe in […] strong moderation tools […] a safer space online
[…]
the developers actively hostile towards us […] told us to leave. […] we've been exploring alternatives […] not ready to commit to a jump, we’re a lot more confident in our ability to leave Lemmy"

Manually cross-posting this from Threadiverse, since Misskey still can't federate with Lemmy.

I'm still rebuilding my website but one thing I just realised I ought to mention more is this little* media activist manifesto, between two and twenty years in the making, depending on how you think of it -- *big, so TL;DR: we can learn from the failures of state, corporate, cooperative, and Indy media, still embrace "citizen journalism" and have our very own media networks to connect and communicate within our communities for radical change, taking inspiration from #ReseauMutu and also the #Fediverse itself to build our own one-stop site for resources, news, events, and mutual aid in each of our localities, block by block, site by site: https://www.mediaactivist.com/manifesto/ #media #MediaStudies #Indymedia #RadicalMedia #CitizenJournalism #GuerrillaJournalism #Beehaw #Lemmy #Kbin

any other #lemmy users have their home instance on #beehaw but use lemmy elsewhere? I'm curious how much of that ecosystem I'm missing out on because Beehaw defederated from lemmy.world
I figured out how to browse #beehaw, #kbin & #lemmy with my Mastodon account. It's not the best experience to do it this way but I can interact with the threads, comment and updoot. This is why the #fediverse is so awesome!
