AGI - L'ex calciatore inglese David Beckham e sua moglie Victoria, ex membro del gruppo musicale Spice Girls e oggi imprenditrice di successo, sono entrati a far parte del club dei miliardari britannici, avendo visto lo scorso anno aumentare notevolmente il proprio patrimonio.
Secondo la classifica annuale del The Sunday Times, ammonta alla bellezza di 1,185 miliardi di sterline (1 miliardo e 360 mila euro ai cambi attuali), "grazie a investimenti indovinati nel calcio, nel settore alimentare e delle bevande, nel settore immobiliare e nella moda".
L'anno precedente, nel 2024, il patrimonio della coppia ammontava a 500 milioni di sterline (574 milioni di euro): il balzo della loro 'fortuna' è dovuta in particolare agli investimenti effettuati negli ultimi anni dall'ex capitano della nazionale inglese nell'Inter Miami, club di calcio statunitense con cui l'argentino Lionel Messi ha prolungato il suo contratto fino al 2028.
Il 'merito' è anche della moglie: il marchio di moda Victoria Beckham, lanciato nel 2008 e a lungo in perdita, ha visto lo scorso anno il proprio fatturato superare i 100 milioni di sterline (114,8 milioni di euro). David e Victoria Beckham, in contrasto con il figlio maggiore Brooklyn, che li accusa pubblicamente di voler "controllare" la sua vita e di cercare di "rovinare" il suo matrimonio, coltivano sui social media dove predomina l'immagine di una coppia glamour e unita, a cui tutto va per il meglio, molto vicina agli altri tre figli.

La classifica annuale del Sunday Times, raccoglie le 350 persone e famiglie più ricche del Regno Unito di tutti i settori e include quest'anno i musicisti Noel e Liam Gallagher, la cui fortuna complessiva, stimata in 375 milioni di sterline (430,5 milioni di euro), è stata incrementata dal tour di reunion della band Oasis. Entra nella lista anche il magnate thailandese-britannico delle criptovalute Christopher Harborne, autore di una donazione non dichiarata di 5 milioni di sterline al leader del partito anti-immigrazione Reform UK, Nigel Farage.
Nella classifica figura anche Nik Storonsky, amministratore delegato e cofondatore della banca online britannica Revolut che ha visto la sua fortuna personale salire lo scorso anno a 16,411 miliardi di sterline (18,84 miliardi di euro).

The previous year, in 2024, the couple’s wealth was £500 million (approximately €574 million), the jump in their ‘fortune’ was particularly due to investments made in recent years by the former captain of the English national team in Inter Miami, a US soccer club with which Argentinian Lionel Messi has extended his contract until 2028.

The wife’s contribution is also significant: the Victoria Beckham fashion brand, launched in 2008 and long in the red, saw its turnover exceed £100 million (approximately €114.8 million) last year. David and Victoria Beckham, in contrast with their eldest son Brooklyn, who publicly accuses them of wanting to “control” his life and of trying to “ruin” his marriage, cultivate on social media an image of a glamorous and united couple, where everything goes well, very close to the other three children.

Oasis Among the Richest in the UK

The annual Sunday Times ranking collects the 350 richest people and families in the UK from all sectors and includes this year the musicians Noel and Liam Gallagher, whose total fortune, estimated at £375 million (approximately €430.5 million), has increased due to the Oasis reunion tour. It also enters the list the Thai-British cryptocurrency magnate Christopher Harborne, author of an undisclosed £5 million donation to the leader of the anti-immigration Reform UK party, Nigel Farage.

Nik Storonsky, CEO and co-founder of the British online bank Revolut, also appears in the ranking, whose personal fortune rose to £16.411 billion (approximately €18.84 billion) last year.

A dare il la è Page Six che sottolinea come il primogenito dell’ex calciatore e di Victoria Beckham non abbia pubblicato alcun messaggio social per i 51 anni del padre. Nessuna foto d’archivio, nessuna storia, nessun cuore. Silenzio anche da parte della moglie Nicola Peltz.
Il dettaglio non passa inosservato anche perché arriva poche settimane dopo un altro non-augurio: quello per il compleanno di Victoria. Anche in quel caso Brooklyn non aveva condiviso nulla, mentre il resto della famiglia aveva riempito Instagram di dediche.
