You will no doubt seen (even if you've been trying to avoid it) coverage of the rift in the Beckham family which has ben garnering masses of media attention.

I really don't care, but one thing is clear:

If Brooklyn Beckham was serious about wanting to be his own man & carve out an independent career, one easy solution would be to change his last name & work anonymously in his chosen field;

will he do that: of course not!

[Here ends my dalliance with celebrity culture.]

The privileged man, whether he be privileged politically or economically, is a man depraved in intellect and heart.

@ChrisMayLA6 yes! His mum trademarked his name so a simple legal change and he could move on. But as you say... he won't
@ChrisMayLA6 in fairness though, why should he have to? Why is his mother snle to trademark his name? Imagine how that must feel, you’re not a person to your parents, you’re literally a product.

@dropbear

But equally, its an easy solution; I believe his wife's family are even more mounted than the Beckhams so its not like he would be doomed to penury.... but changing his name & acting anonymously in any field would rob him of the advantages handed out to him as a 'nepobabe'... judging by his previous 'careers'

@ChrisMayLA6 I’m not sure changing your name is an ‘easy’ solution, mentally and emotionally as well as practically

@dropbear

indeed, but given he's claiming mental anguish from the rift, the pain of drawing a line under his family links (via a name change) might on balance be better?
