Waking up the CMS detector - Part 1 | CMS Experiment

2/2 ... presence of nucleon-nucleon interactions becomes “dressed” in a quasi-deuteron cloud. Quasi-free scattering (QFS) of deuterons could thus offer a sensitive probe to examine these concepts. The #experiment employs (p,pd) QFS reactions on 10,12,14,16-C as a tool to probe short-range correlations.
