Also entirely relatable, especially as the night is quieter and (obviously) darker so not as overstimulating as daytime... My nocturnal tendencies alongside my light and sound sensitivity are why I joke about being #BatuallyAutistic 🦇

@lizzard @autistics *bat hugs*

I relate to this, although my shops are reliably small even when they're in the big stores (a weird quirk of my location is that I have two supermarkets - one very big, one a larger-than-average new-build Lidl - closer than any convenience store) and I usually shop late at night because of my nocturnal #BatuallyAutistic tendencies, making them reasonably quick.

Still get overloaded. A lot of my grocery shopping is online now; here in 🇬🇧 most of the big supermarkets offer an online delivery service, with their own staff rather than gig economy slaves, and just being able to pick out groceries in a comfortable environment is super helpful to me 💖

@iita @elaurian Love this! I'd like to think the bat helps ward off the excessive light and sound in the world. Or maybe that's just me, with my nocturnal tendencies/photophobia/hyperacusis combo meaning I joke about being #BatuallyAutistic... 🦇
