Though the daytime air battle would rage on for another month and a half, this was the day that broke Nazi resolve; Sea Lion would never happen, and the Sceptre'd Isle would remain a platform from which Overlord could eventually happen.

May Brits and Yanks alike have similar resolve - and similar success if not better - against the current ... unpleasantness. And for that matter, may all of Europe do likewise, and anyone else with such problems.
