@Lazarou I am very sorry for them (given that they were really killed by the attac). But please don't forget the ten thousands of Iranians killed by #basiji last month. And the fact that all girls sentenced to death in Iran are raped first (as Iranian law forbids to execute virgins). #mullahs continuing to rule would cause more people to be killed in the future!

@lordkhan

the #basiji are extremely brutal (conservative govt thugs bussed in from rural areas to the cities to crack skulls and murder, like ICE in the USA)

the people of #Iran are putting their lives on the line like us pampered complacent Westerners have no conception of. I like you have nothing but the utmost respect for them

⭕En #Iran, des émeutiers ont tenté de prendre d'assaut un quartier général des #Basiji à #Malekshahi, dans la province #d'Ilam, pour voler des armes et des munitions.

@Gorfram @Mikal

the #basiji

they have murdered their fellow iranians many times before, and they will again

basically the govt trucks rural #conservatives into #iranian cities when there is unrest, and they go about cracking skulls and shooting protesters, then are trucked back

brutally simple and efficient

the iranian people have a tough situation, but they are not giving up

A feared Iranian militia is leading the crackdown on protesters. Who are the Basij?

Dressed in black, the group of chanting schoolgirls in the Iranian city of Shiraz appeared determined to make themselves heard. “Basiji, go and get lost,”

@lin11c

there has been a number of #arabspring type uprisings over the last decade in #iran

a prominent one immediately preceded the arab spring and might have inspired it:

all of them violently suppressed by the #basiji

i would like to have hope, but it's quite grim in iran. they don't have a problem viciously brutalizing their own people
