_The Evening Post_, 11 Feb 1924:
WOMEN IN PRINT.
…
Two little girls, Rowena Wilkinson and Ruth Morris, held a successful bazaar on Saturday afternoon at 135, Northland road. The stalls were tastefully arranged with flowers, cakes, sweets, dolls, toys, and clothing, and the satisfactory sum of £1 10s 3½d [ca. $180 today] was realised for the deserving cause of Dr. Barnardo’s Homes. The
#children worked very hard and should be congratulated upon the results of their efforts. Thanks are also due to friends of the children who kindly helped in various ways.
