If I have proofed my dough, and it is an hour before I need to bake it, can I put it in the refrigerator, so it doesn’t overproof? Or will that murder the little yeasty babies? 💀

Ok bakers, can I add food colouring to cupcake batter without creating a texture issue? I'm looking for moist & delicious but also to marble in some with green & some with red.
