It’s spring. That means my aging hens are laying again, and the age-old AuDHD habit of putting eggs “somewhere safe” and forgetting where I put them has begun.

Fly high, sweet Erys 💚
We are so sorry we couldn’t heal you 💔
Two years free, two years so very loved. Your gentle & loving soul is sorely missed. I’m so sorry you were born into a world that only saw you as a means for production and that had no care for the strain that put on you.
No more laying now, no more struggling. Be peaceful, sweet girl.. we love you x
How bad of an idea is this?
I need 3 of a single type of chicken, only available as day old chicks. The minimum order is 15 chicks. Can I raise these chicks to pullets and then sell the extras? Seems like very high demand for chickens this year.
Lavender orpingtons are considered rare.
Yea or nay?
Helpful note for people with backyard flocks of #hens - do not go out and feed them cracked corn while wearing dress work pants. The corn dust will get all over the pants and you'll show up to work looking like a fool.
