in 2022, during the #Pride Protest in #Bucharest, the police asked me to throw away my banner that said "make love, not war" ("faceți sex, nu război")

this was an "offensive" message to "onlookers"

this year, i spotted what looked like a 3 meter long banner with the same message, at Bucharest Pride

some things got better since i left. but some things are still fragile. #Romania is still one coalition away from reliving its fascist past. one political gamble away from authoritarianism.
