#BSkyTopTip Using a hashtag made up of more than one word? Use #CamelCase (capitalise the first letter of each word): it allows screen readers to parse them correctly, and generally makes them easier to interpret for everyone: Is #speedofart supposed to be #SpeedOfArt or #SpeedoFart?

#BSkyTopTip It's worth noting that a growing number of people (including me) simply won't share posts with images that don't have alt-text.

#BSkyTopTip Sharing stuff promotes it! This is as true of negative stuff as it is of positive stuff: if it makes you happy, share it. If it makes you angry then be the break in the chain.

#BSkyTopTip On BlueSky YOU are the algorithm! The main way that great posts get in front of more people is through our (mine and yours!) direct interaction with them. There are three main ways to interact with a post, (found at the bottom of each):

#BSkyTopTip You can open up your posts to being viewed outside of BlueSky by people in the fediverse (e.g. Mastodon). All you have to do is follow @ap.brid.gy and your friends in the fediverse will be able to follow your BlueSky postings!

#BSkyTopTip If you keep forgetting to add alt-text to your images there's a setting you can enable (in settings -> accessibility) that will warn you if you try to post an image without alt-text.

#BSkyTopTip Take some time to look through the settings. You don't need to change anything, or understand everything, but it's a relatively quick & easy easy to learn about some of the things you have control over here.
