It's not the WORST first attempt at non-metallic metal. But it's passable if you take it as an arms-length impression rather than looking too closely!

There was some good light in the conservatory today, so I didn't procrastinate and I did a bit of painting. Highlighted up the red.
I was a little unsure as I painted because the "big highlights" were drying darker and then I thought I might run out of edge, but it worked out okay overall. I think I thinned more than before (even with Vallejo and old Citadel flip pots!). Crimson Gore through to Blazing Orange.

Spent some more time painting Azrakh the Annihilator again today.
I'm basically at the "back where I started" phase, where you've done the wash and painted over it, so it looks like you didn't do the wash, but it's actually got more depth than if you hadn't done it.
Had fun with Tentacle Pink mixes for his flesh!
