Seguimos con nuestra serie de programas sobre la franquicia de Avatar (los de la piña china, no los azules), y recibimos a nuestra compañera de productora Sole Machado, gran fánatica de esta saga. Junto a Eze, MaGnUs, y la aparición trimestral del Profesor Dinosaurio, otro gran fánatico de Avatar, nos avocamos a la RE: seña de la primera temporada de la adaptación live action de Netflix. Con el abandono en pre-producción de los creadores originales de la serie, y una elección cuestionable de guionistas (spoiler), el showrunner que quedó, ¿chocó al bisonte volador? Es cosa de escucharnos. Además, una opinión sobre esta temporada de nuestro amigo Sebastián Navas, que no vio la serie animada original.

Con música de Takeshi Furukawa (sobre Jeremy Zuckerman), y The Plain White T's.

It definitly feels like they are going to cut the best aspects of season one, which was the random traveling. Or at least combine them in a way that pushes the story towards the season 1 finale way too soon. hell #AvatarTLA works because it's basically a story about kids trying to find themselves and their growth. The pay off is watching them become a "family", learn from each other, etc. You can't earn that emotional ending of Book 1 without everything that comes before it. (2/2)

Welp first episode of the live-action #AvatarTLA has been watched. I have mixed feelings. As far as adaptaptions go it's not as horrible as the movie but the first episode feels rushed. I think they fit about 4 episodes from the orginal show into 1 episode. However, I do think that's the issue with a lot of TV now of days, you get eight 1 hour episodes to tell this immense, character driven, lore heavy story and its just not enough time. (1/2)

It feels weird that Avatar: TLA is simultaneously one of the biggest memetic influences of people's childhood and how, according to the metrics, only around 2 million people (or, households?) actually saw it during its peak. It still feels like that number is too low.
