Staffing shortages opened the door to private nursing agencies who charge over $75 per hour while a standard nurse would be paid between $35 and $50 per hour.

NEW: Hours after Ontario's #AuditorGeneralReport was released the govt appointed a new auditor general, Shelley Spence.

Former AG Bonnie Lysyk's 10 yr term ended in Sept and today's scathing report was prepared by Acting Auditor General, Nick Stavropolous who assisted Ms. Lysyk for many years.

No word on why #DougFord replaced Stavropolous instead of offering him the role. #onpoli
