Today a picture of a #Luxemburg 🇱🇺 trainset, taken in the early 2000s: this is a #CFL Class 2000 unit, similar to #SNCF 🇫🇷 #Z2 vehicles. Built around 1990, these trains mainly worked regional services, including to #Athus in neighbouring #Belgium 🇧🇪.

The “#Athus-#Meuse” line in #Belgium’s 🇧🇪 south is part of a major European freight corridor, yet it also sees the occasional passenger train. Today, #SNCB #NMBS Class 08 #Siemens #DesiroML units work the nearly hourly “Local”, yet in the early 2000s, AM41 diesels were in charge, as seen here on my pictures taken back then, i.a. at #Virton.

[titre]Bois Athus[/titre] [b][i][/i]Les Bois d'Athus et Belleshecken[/b] s'étendent en [i]Lorraine [/i]le long de la frontière grand-ducale, à 12 km au sud d'[i]Arlon[/i]. S'étendant sur environ 245 ha, ils constituent en fait le prolongement wallon d'un massif forestier nettement plus vaste situé en territoire luxembourgeois. Belle promenade mais ardue lorsque le temps est humide et qu'il rend les sentiers très boueux.
