Just upgraded TOS to 1.04 ("Rainbow TOS") with ROMs from Baffo71. Next step is to solder sixteen IC sockets, 220 nF caps and 68 Ohm resistors for the memory upgrade.

The monitor adapter for my Atari 520 arrived. It can only work in color mode if the monitor supports 15 kHz HSYNC signals, so hi resolution black and white mode it is. I love how non-intrusive the adapter is.
A nice side effect of trawling through my storage unit looking for a thing, was finding my old Atari 520ST in the same box. I have always been convinced it was a STE, as it was purchased 89/90, but it turned out to be a STFM.
I'm currently waiting on a ST2VGA monitor adapter and a bunch of HYB 41256-10 DRAM chips to upgrade it to 1 MB the OG way.

I skipped the #16bit era and went straight from 8 to 32 bits. I'm taking huge delight in rediscovering it now!
I got started in computing with an #Atari800, and was aware that the #Amiga was the spiritual successor to the former machine. I've since picked up an #A600 (unloved when it was released, a great bit of kit in retrospect) which I'm making friends with.
What's surprised me though is the dearth of introductory documentation for the Amiga. Take a look at this documentation I got with this #Atari520STFM: An Owner's Manual and a three volume Discovery Pack.
Can someone point me at equivalent documentation for the #Amiga600, please?
@wyvern Hahah - I think people sort of liked it but the critics back then really didn’t. Otoh, if someone bought WIT expecting 11 more Your Womans, they would have been sorely disappointed.
And, yep, 90% of the album was sequenced on my #Atari520STFM using #Gadjits #SequencerOne which came FREE on the front of #STFormat magazine. :-D
