I'm not one myself but I really enjoy reading the posts and increasing my understanding of past things, most often with a unique perspective/spin. And the effort it must involve, shudder. 👍👍

But. I have something unique that may be of interest so,

Meet my great-grandparents on mother's side.

You've likely picked up that I'm #CanadianEh but I was born in #Plymouth, #Devon, England. Went back every summer until 16 for couple of months.

My great-grandfather was a very successful tailor in #Plymouth. The business passed his sons and eventually shut the doors in the late '70s(?).

If you were in #Devon or #Cornwall at that time, you definitely knew 'Big or Tall, We Fit them All'. My great-grandfather found a niche market in those that bought suits rarely, likely for an 'event' and they were likely rural. So bigger people.

This is his certificate to practice as a Tailor. As well as two ads below.
