The basic idea that came to mind is a Neutrino caught in a Loop of Space.

An already existent version of the Space-Loop is particle accelerator/collider technology.
The confinement and acceleration of particles is done by electromagnets using electric power derived from power grids and generators. The cost is huge and in Europe they are transnational projects.
This obviously means that what I am 'proposing' is already well within contemporary research reach.

What makes this not a conventional experiment is the information that I would be looking at getting from it.
As Neutrinos can (do) change their "flavour", I proposed earlier that that is a result of interaction with Space.
A loop-made-of-Space will have definable properties :- depth, length, width, circumference, even "weight".
(Space having weight is another topic.)
If Neutrinos change their flavour due to the Energy they encounter (gaining and/or losing Energy) in Space then that may not affect the Loop but if it is an interaction with Space then that would cause erosion of the Space-Loop or even expansion of it.
(As usual, the answer could be both, one-or-the-other or none-at-all. Or, maybe, an as yet unknown fourth thing that I have already mentioned elsewhere :- Virtual Particles.)

If a Loop could be isolated from Space external to it then Energy that is within the Loop would be the only thing affecting the Neutrino within it.
In a draft plot-synopsis for a reboot of the film The Black Hole, I used a Causality Free Zone around a Singularity at the heart of the blackhole to explain a loss of Energy in the area within the Inner Event Horizon. The loss of Energy in that Space meant that Light behaved oddly (and there was Time shenanigans going-on, too).
In the Loop there are a few things I would expect to happen, the most important is either the slowing of the Neutrino or stopping of the Neutrino's motion once that Energy has been used up. This presents the problem of where that Transformed/Used Energy has gone if the System is a closed-loop.

However, if the Neutrino is causing attrition of Space, then the Loop would shrink. The Neutrino would complete a circuit of the Loop faster but it would not be going faster, it is just that the distance is Shrinking.
There would come a point when there would not be enough room for the Neutrino to even vibrate at its "resting" place.
If Energy becomes concentrated in that remaining area then that brings up the Suffusion problem :- the Neutrino will not have stopped due to limited Space but due to too much Energy in that limited Space.
I would look for signs that the Neutrino is going to succumb to dissolution.

The question of remanents of particles comes up :- if Space attrition leaves substructual components, if the Neutrino breaks into Quark components, if Energy is the only remaining thing in the experimental enclosure.

In Nomansland, there are Gravity sensors which can be deployed as a cloud of penny (possibly smaller) sized units. Within them are rigid monomolecular spirals housed in Vacuum isdolated from the outside wotld :- the presence of matter outside them would affect Space and so affect the spirals in the detector.
The problem here is that the Space-Loop would be isolated from Space by a Void!
A Void, I tells ya.
The experiment depends on being able to create a void in order to isolate the Loop from external Space. The technology to create a Loop/Bubble of Space should also need to be able to create a Void by creating a region without Space in it.

The benefit of Particle Colliders is that they also have Particle Detectors.
The set-up for the Space-Loop would require it to be isolated from external Space and so this makes it isolated from Particle Detectors as well.
I have wondered if Neutrinos actually do behave exactly as Photons do when it comes to travelling in Straight Lines (in Curved Space). If they have a tendency to naturally deviate due to their Flavour Changing then they could slam into "the wall" of the Space-Loop. The same feature of traversal-alignment acquiesence of Space due to Light travelling through it may also occur with Neutrinos but my thoughts about particles-with-mass would suggest that that is not the case. Neutrinos moving through Space should be more like a Neutron moving through Space :- there is Gravitational alignment of Space due to Momentum rather than acquiesence due to Photonic directional polarisation.

This brings us to one of my written and blog published stories from my Not-A-Star-Trek-Yarn (NASTY) Qonos Saga, story number 4, "Crush Depths and Crash Reports" pt1.
In that story, two Qonossian kids (they're not "Klingons") experience flashes of light about them accompanying an object entering the atmosphere and crashing into the sea near them.
The local aviation authority sends an investigator who reads the report of their statements and sees that it contains mentions of swirls, arrows and symbols. The kids do not have radiation sickness.
It turns out that the symbols were from a JJAbrams era Starfleet Matter Transporter system.

The particle tracks from cloud chambers and particle detectors, and the experiences of astronauts reporting seeing flashes in their eyes while in Space, were the inspiration for that story.

I would say that "natural" Space-Loops could also explain Spirals seen in Particle Tracks. The motion of a particle in a Loop, that is either expanding or contracting, would leave what looks to be a Spiral.

- Wormholes -

The Space-Loop can be seen (lol) as a form of Wormhole about which topic has been discussed and quantified by many physicists, mathemeticians and writers.
The most accepted version Wormhole has been the "region" of Space-Time stretched to Distances-Measured-by-the-Travel-of-Light-in-Years creating a near-instantaneous traversal of that Distance.
This is often known as an Einstein-Rosen Bridge (ERB).

My Space-Loop idea is not the ERB.

- Warp-Drive-&-Bubble -

Known as the Alcubierre Drive, the concept of a Warped-Region-of-SpaceTime-used-to-encapsulate-a-Vehicle/Object-for-Travel requires an enormous (now calculated to be much smaller yet still enormous) amount of Energy and the specific use of "Exotic Matter" due to a need for "Negative Mass".
The warp-bubble would allow for "faster-than-Light" travel as that bubble would not be restricted by "resistance" from Space which prevents subluminal matter from achieving FTL.

My Space-Loop idea is not the WDB.

But, the warping of Space is part of it.

- My Particular Theory's Polarised-Space -

The essential idea behind my "MPT" theory is that Space itself can (and "is") polarisable. The action of Magnetism is related to that polarisability and explains why no particle-of-magnetism has been (and can NEVER be) discovered.
Giving Space that property does away with many of the problems with Space in accepted ("dominant") theories.
((Doing so DOES NOT DO AWAY with the accepted Maths in those studies ))

Examples I give include SunSpot Activity, iron-filings used to show "Lines-of-Force" around Magnets and Gravity.

Gravity is (more-or-less) accepted ("amongst scientists") as acting through Einstein's conception of a Fabric of Space known as SpaceTime. I just "assumed" that Magnetism also acts through Space.

If we know that Space can be bent by a known-Force such as Magnetism then it is not absurd to think of warping-of-Space as being in its infancy as an artisanal sector.

I've already discussed some of the problems with manipulation of Space but I left one out deliberately to get to this section.

- Permanence -

There is discussion of Space as possibly being in an Energy State that could suffer one or more collapses to Lower Energy States. My version of this is the Decay or Impermanence (and Constant Creation) of Space.
(( "Vacuum Catastrophe" and "Inflation" ))

For the Space-Loop, I consider a different problem as well as that one.

If the Space-Loop is to be constructed to be "long-lived" then the actual individual Spatial quanta would have to be placed in such a way that they lock together.
(note: the Space-Loop is not the same as "the Tunnel made out of Space".)
This is a major problem as the point of Space (both in accepted and MPT) is that it has frictionless qualities when "acted upon" by itself.
(The Inertial Collapse of an Object reaching the Speed-of-Light is similar to when a Non-Newtonian Liquid is impacted by a High-Speed object (rather than an Object that can move through it as it moves at a speed lower than its resistance coefficient).)
The Warp-Drive theory allows a warp-bubble (theoretically) to travel fasterthanlight ("FTL") because of the frictionless quality of Space acting on Space.
There cannot be an exception to this.

Except ...

The Exception (the Resistance to FTL) indicates that Space has the ability to take on Properties or a Shape that Resists FTL-achieving-Objects from Moving through it.

(There is also the MPT idea of there being a substructure to Space which would mean the possibility that a Space quanta can be broken down into component parts.)

Another reason I give in MPT is that when an object nears/achieves LightSpeed, that that local region of Space becomes suffused with Energy and that Energy cannot leech out into Surrounding Areas fast enough :-

(The Delay in the Dissipation of Energy is a Leading Cause of SuperNovae!)

The Suffusion idea is more likely than the Impeded-by-Shape idea.

To make a long-lived Loop-of-Space would require transforming regular-Space into a new form, a 'Non-Newtonian-Jigsaw-Block-Space' usable for Construction.
I believe that this (momentarily and minorly) occurs when Atomic bombs are detonated.
The explosion of an Atom bomb is the same as an Object achieving SOLT.
(I also think that Energy is "lost" to Space by the Spatial-Seismic force of the Explosion.)
I haven't looked to find if there is data on phenomenon (like Ball-Lightning) discovered in Atom bomb research.

Detonating Atomic bombs in order to find out if this creates balls or loops of Space (made visible by plasma or electrons riding their Surfaces) is a PhD proposal that I would like to read (but would not back).

We can assume that creating Building-Blocks made of Space does not make them Permanent or Long-Lived. There is my idea of Space-Decay as well as the accepted Vacuum Catastrophe theory suggesting that Space may not be a permanent phenomenon.
(Making a Loop out of sub-Space quanta constituents is a whole other level of speculation. (I've done that elsewhere.))

So, for this Neutrino idea, I will go with the idea that the Space Loops have already been made.

- 2 - Grabbing A Neutrino -

Grabbing a neutrino is easy, we catch them all the time.

Well, to be more honest, neutrinos are detected occasionally and those detections tell particle physicists about the likelihood of neutrinos interacting with our bodies.
There is probably a neutrino reaction in your body as you read this. The incidence of such collisions is insignificant when compared to the number of neutrinos passing through your body. The "damage" done by a neutrino reaction is virtually incalculable due to the sheer size of your body and the atoms in it compared to the infrequency of neutrino collisions.
Neutrino Detectors use the light produced by Neutrino collision to estimate the power of those reactions. Those reactions are tiny ... Those reactions are gigantic.

The relative power of a neutrino collision is stupendous. If there were as many neutrino reactions as there are absoptions of X-Rays in a radiology photograph then we would be being roasted where we stand.
(Sitting down would not help.)

A Neutrino Collision will cause a flash of photons and shower of particles :- the energy of impact breaks atoms and releases photons, electrons, neutrons and protons. Much more powerful than a Gamma photon collision. Neutrinos are substantial particles unlike photons.
But, if they are so large, then how can they move as fast as photons?

My description of Photons includes a "charge carrier" particle at the heart and a disturbance halo around it that can be thought of as a skirt or shroud.
The halo is an emergent phenomenon which exists in Space due to the Energy and Frequency/Wavelength of a Photon. If there is "no Space" then the Photon would have no frequency/wavelength.
With Neutrinos, the Halo is so small that it hardly ever interacts with the Halos of other Particles. Neutrinos pass unhindered by most other Particles due to that lack of a significant Halo.
But, Neutrinos also have a structure but one unlike the Photon's charge carrier. The Neutrino is a substantial particle with a tiny Halo whereas the Photon is a huge Halo with an insignificant particular centre. What other components may be at the Heart of Photons would also be insignificant.
When a Photon is created, it is Energy trapped in the form of a wave-packet. All Photons are uniquely created individuals. This could be said to be true for all particles but whereas other Particles are classes of objects made of other components, all Photons are individual.
An essential part of this part of my Particular story is that Photons have a core that is derived from a particle that is freely available in the Universe. That central core may not be at the centre of a Photon, I say that it is for covenience and to help move the theory forward. It may be constructed out of other particles also yet to be discovered. There was an experiment that defined Electrons as having subcomponents, one of which was called the Holon, or "Life" particle; I propose similar for Photons.

I also have a fondness for the Pilot Wave Theory which is used to describe how Photons or Electrons fired at a pair of slits will be influenced by the fluctuatios in Space to go through one or other slit.
As I understand it, the material that the slits are in also influences the path of particles. The atoms of the material will contribute to disturbance in Space beyond the material.

Now, consider a Neutrino with its huge core but tiny Halo; when travelling through material there will be a pathway that has Rapids like currents and eddies along it. Neutrinos will be actively pushed away by the disturbances in Space.
So, not only are Neutrinos "tiny" but they are also Repulsed by Atoms.
The big bullies.

The physicality of Neutrinos is often noted as being a reason to search for "delays" in Neutrinos reaching us from astronomical events. It is theorised that Light from SuperNovae should reach us minutely before Neutrinos [from them] do.
The Inertia from their Mass should make them slower than Photons.
So far, this has not been verified.

The other major anomaly is the ability of Neutrinos to "change their flavour".
There are three types of Neutrino :- Electron, Muon and Tau.
While Neutrinos do not Decay, they are created and they can be destroyed (by Interaction with Matter) and they do have this ability to change type which is a normal behaviour of all Neutrinos.
A particle that mainly reacts to nothing but has an ability to change indicates that either there is limited instability within Neutrinos or they are reacting with an unknown material/medium/particle/energy.
I suggest that the unknown here is Space because we know that Neutrinos CONSTANTLY interact with Space :- it's what they travel through.

Finally getting to the point, as Neutrinos travel through Space, it should be possible to place one in my hypothetical Loop of Space.
The Question then becomes "How Would A Neutrino Behave in this Closed Loop of Space System?"

The basic idea that came to mind is a Neutrino caught in a Loop of Space.

- pt1 - Creating A Loop of Space -

If the Space-Quantum "Sqube" idea from Nomansland is applied to this then it is simplicity to create a loop made out of Space as the technology that they have is based around Space manipulation.
For us, this could only be achieved accidentally through explosions of atomic material either fission or fusion and by creation of Magnetic fields that collapse or are designed to join into a Loop.
A self-contained, self-sustaining Loop existing beyond the device ("event") which created it.

The warp-bubble concept is the more accepted version of this and usually is seen as being a product of Gravitational distortion through exotic-matter or by an immensely powerful Gravity source such as a Singularity.
In Nomansland, I used Electro-Magnets and a "degeneracy generator" to create the Gravity Bubbles used by their Fusion technology. The relationship between the Magnetic, Degeneracy, Seismic (Gravity) and Shield fields were interdependent :- causing Degeneracy created Gravity which caused Fusion of Deuterium/Tritium which powered the Shields/Fields which contained the Radiation from the Fusion.
The Degeneracy was caused by destroying Space using a Neutrino Pump that "somehow" transformed Space into matter ("neutrinos").
The ability of Neutrinos to change "flavour" can be seen as indicating an Energy interrelation with Space.

Why I chose Neutrinos as being related to Degeneracy was from the "Gravity Victory" that precedes SuperNovae when "bloated" Stars "collapse" and produce (among other things) Neutrinos.
(Conventionally, the sudden diminishing in size of an end-stage main-sequence Star has been described as a "Gravitational Collapse" but the end of Thermal Pressure resisting Gravity indicates it is a victory of Gravity.)

Seeing the production of Neutrinos as the main business of SuperNovae meant to me that the process was probably replicatable by a device, and so the ability to create Degeneracy would surely be related to an ability to do the opposite, too. So, the Neutrino Pump could put Space back into Degrnerated Matter.
This meant that Fuel (hydrogen) could be minimalised by orders of a thousand.

A secondary concept was the HEFSO; the High-Energy Field Highly-Symmetrical Object.
This described sub-atomic particles which have a highly symmetrical ("spherical") shape and a strong [for their size] Electric charge :- basically, Leptons.
A result of a particle having HEFSO qualities was that it would be greatly unaffected by Gravity so giving it anti-gravity properties.
The difference in the shape of an Electron and a Photon would be what made an Electron like a macroscale object while a Photon would move at "the Speed of Light".
Electrons are affected by Magnetic fields in a way that Photons are not.
I proposed that Space is suffused by Energy and that this provided the Motive Power of Photons in comparison to the relatively huge energy needed to propel an Electron at any Speed.
Either the physical properties of Space made Electrons "too slippery too handle" (which could apply to Photons) or there were "exposed" areas on the Electron which meant that "equal" force was applied all around it causing it to be "sluggish" in Space. I settled on Electrons being slippery and Photons having "an exposed rear end". The shape of a Photon would have the qualities of a bullet (in their effect not necessarily in appearance), a flat rear and a cone head.

This then raised the question of why Photons travel "in straight lines".
The Sqube theory required Photons to either be Sqube length or just a bit longer than a Sqube. A process of "acquiesence" meant that the travel of a Photon caused a Sqube ahead to align with the one that the Photon occupied. However, Squbes could also be distorted by Gravity.
The "acquiesence" and the "Gravity Distortion" would not be the same thing.
A Photon entering a Gravity Distorted Sqube would still align that Sqube perfectly with the previous Sqube but its path would be misaligned from its Source emission. Untold numbers of these distortions could occur scattering Photons randomly but only a coherent distortion field would cause a truly bent path of enough Photons to produce a "true false" image of a Source.

The properties that I had given Squbes now meant that they had to have Structure within them (and that's when I stopped developing that idea as I was literally having to make-up a new class of particles which worked more like mechanical components than had previously been the accepted model before Quantum physics).
The ability for Space to be bent by Gravity would mean that a Sqube has the ability to be physically deformed or that the curvature is merely an affect of the mechanisms/structures within the Sqube outputting a distortion effect on particles.

The shape I gave to Squbes had two distinct properties :- a "perfect" Sqube by itself would be "spherical" and Squbes when packed together would be "cuboid". Their ability to distort would come at the cost of a tension in (and on) their Structure.
Space Dilation & Contraction would indicate that Space actually is physically distorted by Gravity-of-Objects, Mass-of-Objects and Velocity-of-Travelling-Particles.

The components available for creation of a Loop of Space, therefore, are Distortion by Matter or Energy.
