This week, I had my #MacBookAir's display and trackpad replaced. Unfortunately, the repair killed the Macbook's firmware. The boot process was in a loop telling me to reinstall the system but then wouldn't let me, which according to several online discussion forums is a rather common problem after display replacements on M2 MacBooks.

So now I do scary stuff with #DFUmode and #AppleConfigurator. 😬

Does the #Apple Configurator app just now show backup progress other than it's 'backing up', or...?

I'm used to
#Finder/#iTunes #iPhone backups, it's my first time doing (presumably) the same thing via the #AppleConfigurator app on #macOS.

Playing around with Apple Configurator - proves to be an incredibly useful app throughout so many years already 👏.

This time around it was used to restore a MacBook Air M1 which for some reason failed to reinstall macOS successfully after wiping an SSD.

Configurator did it's job just as expected 🙌.
