As antifascists we stand in solidarity with the people and the revolution of Rojava that the Syrian government, as well as Turkey, is once again attacking.

In Rojava the Syrian forces have been taking over land, cities, resources, and freeing ISIS prisoners from the prisons that were once under control of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.

While it is easy to condemn such acts against women, ethnic minorities and the revolution taking place far from us, it is as important to aknowledge and resist repression in the west, in this case Sweden.

Three weeks ago Swedish Security Service (Säpo) detained a comrade after an action that was published by Rojava Kommitteerna, simply for protesting Sweden’s support for Syria’s current government that is lead by former al-Qaeda fighter Ahmad Al-Sharaa, a man that was once – not so long ago – on the U.S. most-wanted list with a $10 million bounty for information leading to his capture during the so-called war on terror.

By harassing antifascists the Swedish state is being a useful idiot used by Donald Trump and Ahmed Al-Sharaa.

Suddenly both the US and EU are supporting al-Sharaa and leaving people in Rojava fend for themselves.

Antifascists know better. We don’t turn our back on comrades. And we will not leave K or other targets of repression alone.

Damn. ' sorry to hear a report today of the passing of Norman "Norm" Laforce a couple of days ago.

' won't pretend to have known him at all well and will defer details and any better accounting to those who may be on here who knew him much better than this any of these user(s) but from this account's little knowledge and experience, able to report at this time: Norm first got involved as a skinhead handing local Nazis their asses while still a streetkid. He remained solidly antifascist and vocally anti-racist up until recently, at the least (though likely for the entirety of his remaining life), and acted as a mentor, and protector for younger generations, liked and respected by anglo-, franco-, and allophones alike.

Memories of him will be ones of respect, and not without some aspiration.
