Watching the 1978 adaptation of #DeathOnTheNile, I’m struck by the lesbian subtext for the always brilliant #MaggieSmith’s character, Miss Bowers. I’d imagined this addition to the #AgathaChristie novel was new in the far more recent #KennethBranagh version (where she’s played by #DawnFrench). Seems writer #AnthonyShaffer got there decades earlier 😃

#TheWickerMan (1973).
I have seen this movie many times. For my opinion, along with " #TheTenant " (1976) the " #Brazil " (1985) and some others, it's a very iconic "kafka-like" movie with an unforgettable end scene. A great #movie !
(and... #BrittEkland was gorgeous!) 😜
