Am vergangenen Sonntag haben wir in #Bermbach unsere #an[ge]dacht gefeiert - und was soll ich sagen? Es war sehr schön - Und nahezu alle Besucher sind geblieben, um die Veranstaltung bei Gesprächen ausklingen zu lassen.
Auch am letzten Sonntag gab es wieder einen vollen Tisch (auch Wein, es war ja Sonntag Lätare) und wird mussten gar nicht viel organisieren - auch das ist sehr schön.

Il Fatto Quotidiano: Cittadini italiani all’estero: come votare correttamente per il referendum sulla Giustizia del 22 e 23 marzo
Con l’avvicinarsi delle date del 22 e 23 marzo 2026, giorni in cui i cittadini italiani saranno chiamati a esprimersi per il referendum sulla giustizia, si avvicinano anche le scadenze per i residenti all’estero che volessero esprimere il proprio diritto di voto. Le modalità da seguire per votare correttamente sono rigorose e fondamentali per la conferma della propria preferenza.
Essendo ormai a ridosso delle date in questione, sono già passate alcune scadenze, come quella di richiesta del voto postale da parte dei cittadini italiani iscritti all’Aire o quella di richiesta del voto da parte di cittadini italiani temporaneamente all’estero per un periodo non inferiore ai 3 mesi, con scadenza il 18 febbraio scorso. I plichi per le operazioni di voto sono già stati spediti lo scorso 4 marzo, ma, in caso di non avvenuta ricezione, è possibile dall’8 marzo richiedere il duplicato da parte del consolato di riferimento.
La procedura dev’essere eseguita rigorosamente: per votare si può usare esclusivamente penna blu o nera; il segno da apportare sarà esclusivamente quello di una X sul Sì o sul No. La scheda va poi inserita nella busta piccola bianca e sigillata. La busta piccola va inserita assieme al tagliando elettorale nella busta preaffrancata. Non deve essere aggiunto il mittente e non si devono apporre segni identificativi, per tutelare la segretezza del voto. Il plico va poi spedito immediatamente al proprio Consolato entro le 16.00 di giovedì 19 marzo (ora locale).

As the dates of March 22nd and 23rd, 2026, approach – the days when Italian citizens will be called to vote in the referendum on justice – so too do the deadlines for residents abroad who wish to exercise their right to vote. The procedures to follow to vote correctly are strict and fundamental for confirming one’s preference.
Given that the dates are now imminent, some deadlines have already passed, such as the deadline for requesting postal voting by Italian citizens registered with the Aire or the deadline for requesting voting by Italian citizens temporarily abroad for a period of no less than 3 months, which expired on February 18th. The envelopes for the voting operations were already sent out on March 4th, but in case of non-receipt, it is possible from March 8th to request a duplicate from the relevant consulate.
The procedure must be carried out strictly: to vote, you can only use blue or black pen; the mark to be made will be exclusively an ‘X’ for Yes or No. The ballot must then be inserted into the small white envelope and sealed. The small envelope must be inserted together with the electoral voucher in the pre-stamped envelope. The sender must not be added, and no identifying marks must be affixed, to protect the secrecy of the vote. The envelope must then be sent immediately to your Consulate by 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 19th (local time).

The story goes like this. ComputerCraft is a mod that adds programming to Minecraft. You write Lua code that gets executed by a bespoke interpreter with access to world APIs, and now you’re writing code instead of having fun. Computers have limited disk space, and my /nix folder is growing out of control, so I need to compress code. The laziest option would be to use LibDeflate, but its decoder is larger than both the gains from compression and my personal boundary for copying code. So the question becomes: what’s the shortest, simplest, most ratio-efficient compression algorithm? I initially thought this was a complex question full of tradeoffs, but it turns out it’s very clear-cut. My answer is bzip, even though this algorithm has been critiqued multiple times and has fallen into obscurity since xz and zstd became popular.
