Really hate having to unboost great toots when I check the image and see it has no alt text. How hard is it?
Accessibility is an act of love. If you need a reminder - we all do - just follow @PleaseCaption and they’ll message you when you mess up.

Also curious about fave hashtags folks have come across or are following!
I’ve been following the #TedChiang hashtag on desktop because it strikes a balance of obscure enough that I’ll probably have some shared interests with other posters, but also generic enough that other people will independently come to it.
Sometimes I’ll use a tag like #AltTextEverywhere and then realize I’m the only one posting in it. But gotta start somewhere I suppose!
Would be cool if #iOS supported #AltText in the #Messenger app. I’ve been trying to practice #AltTextEverywhere, and that’s one space where I’ve noticed the absence of image captions in my daily routines.
Do any built-in messaging apps for phone OSes include image captions/Alt text? (Could even be useful for sighted users with low data to see the alt before deciding to download an image)
Been practicing adding #AltTextEverywhere by trying to add alt text to all the images I upload to Slack, even if they're just for myself. I feel like the more I build the habit, the easier and more immediate it will become.
Anyone have #AccessibilityTips for how they approach adding #ImageDescriptions and #AltText ? Would love to hear about any patterns folks have developed for how to organize the hierarchy of information!
