I'm still amazed by the fact that I learned, that with alloromantic people, when they hear love songs etc., they are thinking of someone, they may apply that person to the song.
As an (evidently peer-reviewed) aromantic I still can't bring that into my imagination.

Why do you give people flowers to show them you love them? Why can't you get them something that has more utility than a dying plant?

Or if it's cosmetic, why not a living plant and stuff to plant it in? I'm just saying I'd rather have seeds or something to grow a rose bush.

Also, do any #Aromantic like doing this for their partners?

I'm aromantic and stuff like this and candlelit dinners have always confused me on some level. The autism probably doesn't help either.

Anyway, I apologize if my wording is a bit dismissive. I understand this kind of thing has a strong positive meaning for others, and I figured wording it as I actually see it would give you more of an ability to understand where I'm coming from.
