One of my classmates who on a mania today referenced my asexuality which wasn't news to anybody in that class but another classmate who wasn't in biology with us last term, and I think it is the first ever heard of being ace/aro, she came over to ask me questions about it which was pretty funny.

Thank you for posting about this. I’ve fully embraced my aro alignment and, like being diagnosed AuDHD, it has illuminated a lot of how I approach people and relationships. It’s also given me a vocabulary for having conversation with partners. At the very least, it can help avoid confusion and upset when I don’t offer normative signals. Or when I don’t pick up signals they send me.
