The keepers in this tournament have been incredible. Full marks to Beiranvand for #IRN for a clean sheet (so far). Courtois has been busy too.

I didn't think #BEL would end up 3rd in their group. If #CAN wins the group, they could play them.

Nice.

Factor in a couple of geriatric keepers (Cape Verde and Curacao tonight) and the 0-0 draws start mounting up.

This year they use the Euro/UEFA ranking in groups, where head to head points trump GD. So USA and Mexico are already guaranteed first.

Also, pity poor NZ who didn't lose in 2010, but had 3 draws (the last minute penalty vs Italy should never have stood!)

Fun fact. Only 1 team with 4 points hasn't progressed since 1986 or so. Norway in 94, as fewer goals scored. This year even if Turkiye and Haiti win and get 4 points they won't progress.
