If I had a dollar for every time I shipped a used book purchased on #Alibris to my parents in America for me to pick up on my next visit, I would have a lot of ready cash.

I'm not a seller, but I've bought a lot of books at #Alibris. It's easy to find what I'm looking for, and I haven't had any problems.
I haven't tried #Biblio.
I stopped buying from #AbeBooks because they're owned by #Amazon

I need to downsize my library and I'm getting ready to sell a ton of my #cartography book collection. I'm looking at both #Alibris and #Biblio as good options. Does anyone have any experience using either platform and any recommendations for either one? I'm also looking at #AbeBooks but none of my stuff is really that old or rare, and AbeBooks seems to have higher fees than the other two.

Has anyone successfully bought anything from #alibris ? I ordered a Satanic Bible which arrived pretty quickly but 2nd book which was part of the same order "got lost" and this is the 2nd time I ordered it. Now it sits somewhere 4hours away from my address for past 3 days.

Following up on my own post on #Alibris: What I've learned comes from a (new to me) bookseller's forum, which reposted their CEO's post to LinkedIn (?!?), that there's a data center problem: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/alibrisdealersforum/site-outage-t4045.html

If that's the case, they need to use some other systems than LinkedIn and an internal booksellers forum to communicate site status. Twitter, or Fediverse, or .. anything.

For specific #OutOfPrint or #UsedBooks I used to buy from #AbeBooks. Then I found out Amazon owns them too. I think #Alibris is independent. I would like suggestions for used and out-of-print book sites that treat sellers fairly.
