It’s grey and still here today- good conditions for my bike ride to the plant nursery! I’ve decided to end my daily photos of my walk or bike ride. They were good for motivation while I recovered my fitness, but now I’m doing very well and it’s distracting thinking what I should post instead of just enjoying the outdoors. No doubt I will still share photos of especially interesting or beautiful sights though! Thanks everyone for your encouragement in recent times 😊🙏🏼 #AliWalks #AliCycles
The wind is blowing in the opposite direction from yesterday, but it remains a wear a warm hat under your sunhat situation 😆 #AliWalks
We have sunshine 😍 Also a chilly breeze - still needing the woolly hat under the sun hat 😆 #AliWalks
The temperature is winter like today, but it’s definitely spring! Enjoyed a wander among flowering trees as part of my walk 😍 #AliWalks
Happy equinox fedi friends! It feels more like winter than spring here today, but at least the rain has stopped. Looking forward to daylight saving starting tonight, so the cats will jump on me at 6am instead of 5am 😆 #AliWalks
It’s good weather for ducks! The rain hasn’t been very heavy here, but it’s been constant since about 6pm yesterday - 29mm so far. It’s showing no sign of stopping and there’s no wind to blow it away, so I went walking anyway. My sympathies to people further south who have floods after heavier rain, plus swollen rivers from big rain in the headwaters 🫤 #AliWalks
After checking the rain radar this morning I hurried out to get my walk in before the big wet arrives. Mission accomplished! The temperature dropped 5 degrees while I was out so that weather change isn’t far away. #AliWalks
After yesterday’s blessed calm, the gales are back 🫤 I usually bike to the plant nursery on Wednesdays, but today it was so gusty that I figured walking was easier and safer! It’s very warm for early spring, but there’s a cold snap forecast. #AliWalks
Kia ora koutou, it’s a gorgeous day here - best of all, it’s calm! 🎉 #AliWalks
Mōrena, madainn mhath, good morning. Like much of the country, we have big winds here just now. However it’s not cold, so I ventured beside the harbour. The first half of my walk was hard work into the wind, the second half very speedy as the wind pushed me home! #AliWalks
