It’s grey and still here today- good conditions for my bike ride to the plant nursery! I’ve decided to end my daily photos of my walk or bike ride. They were good for motivation while I recovered my fitness, but now I’m doing very well and it’s distracting thinking what I should post instead of just enjoying the outdoors. No doubt I will still share photos of especially interesting or beautiful sights though! Thanks everyone for your encouragement in recent times 😊🙏🏼 #AliWalks #AliCycles
No walk today - instead I cycled to the plant nursery volunteer session. A big southerly got up while I was there, so it was hard work biking home 😆 We grow plants to restore yellow-eyed penguin habitats, which explains this mural! #AliCycles
No walk today, as I biked along to the plant nursery. It’s very warm, though the sun had disappeared when I took this photo! I had a stupid accident (not on my bike, luckily). I tripped over the ankle-high lead of a tied-up dog while I was carrying things and fell flat on my face 🤦🏻‍♀️ No serious injuries thank goodness. Grazed and bruised my leg and after sitting with an ice pack for a bit I managed to bike home okay 👍🏼 #AliCycles
Many of my photos are looking from the peninsula towards town - today it’s from town towards home! After biking some shorter distances with no issues, I decided to ride the 11km to the city centre today. Yet another first time since January thing 🎉 I don’t want to overdo it so I’ll catch the bus home - Ōtepoti buses are blessed with bike racks 👍🏼 #AliCycles
It’s #AliCycles instead of #AliWalks today - I rode along to my volunteer session at the plant nursery. A pretty good day for it 😊
I didn’t walk today - I cycled instead! I dusted off my bike, pumped up the tyres and rode it for the first time since January. It wasn’t a long ride but I did have a brisk headwind on the way home! I rode along to a volunteer session at the plant nursery- also the first time I’ve been since January. Another step in my recovery 👍🏼 #AliWalks - or should it be #AliCycles 😆
