One noteworthy detail about the tiles used by #AlfredGrenander, who designed the tube stations of this era:

For a vivid visual appearence, #Grenander sought to use #tiles with a particular type of #glazing, in which during firing in the #kiln, the #pigments raise toward the surface of the glazing, rather than sinking down to the #earthen body of the #tile.

If the technique was used in those tiles, then they are less like #uranium tiles from the 1960ies–1970ies.
