I cannot believe the #British government enlisted #AlexanderDowner to design their #Rwanda plan. Someone should have pointed out Downer presided over a disgraceful chapter in Australian government history when the Australian secret service bugged East Timor government offices to gain an unfair advantage in negotiations over resources in the Timor sea. Perhaps they already knew and thought he was an ideal candidate? Why do the #Tories fawn over right wing former Australian politicians? Abbott is another who was offered a job as a trade advisor. #auspol #ABCAustralia
