Tonight is our Christmas Eve, so we are putting presents under the tree and drinking mulled wine for #AlcoholicAdvent . 🍷

Merry Christmas #AlcoholicAdventists!

I suppose you think that’s it for #AlcoholicAdvent for another year? But in our house Christmas Eve is tomorrow due to NHS shifts. Work finishes in the morning of 26th for one of the kids; home in time for breakfast and opening stockings with the rest of us.

Have a great Christmas my little #AlcoholicAdventists!

Make sure you sober up a bit between Christmas and New Year; who’s up for #Ginuary? 🥂

For my #AlcoholicAdventists this evening we have vodka. As if eating the mince pie, nibbling the carrot and downing whatever snifter the kids chose for @FatherChristmas a bit later wasn’t enough!

We’ve got our own Damson vodka on the right, but that would be cheating, so I’ve chosen the Wildcat vanilla vodka. Do you remember mixing your ice cream around until it turned into a soup when you were a kid? It’s like that but with a kick!

Tequila is not my drink of choice, but I am a martyr to the cause for you, my #AlcoholicAdventists. In fact, I am having it neat, and it’s not as rough as I expected. Perhaps it’s because it is a good quality 100% agave Tequila.

What are you lot drinking this #AlcoholicAdvent evening?

Mmmm. I think we’ll have another glass of that, and a mince pie. #AlcoholicAdvent
A tasty homemade Damson gin is on the schedule this #AlcoholicAdvent evening. We made about 4 litres of it last year from the single Damson tree in our garden.
Tonight in #AlcoholicAdvent we have the much more palatable Port. We’ve got both white and ruby to savour.
I’m not very good at this drinking thing. Last night was #AlcoholicAdvent nut night, but I don’t like Amaretto! Did you #AlcoholicAdventists drink any?
Well my little #AlcoholicAdventists, we are into the final stretch. This evening I am imbibing Calvados. I’m not joined by anyone else in the family - it’s an acquired taste. Are you keeping up with the #AlcoholicAdvent schedule?
Tonight’s drink is the reason that #AlcoholicAdvent was created. We went to Malta on holiday in February and were persuaded to buy a bottle of prickly pear cactus liqueur in the airport on the way home. Of course we haven’t drunk a drop of it since we got home. Without this tradition we’d have yet another bottle in the cabinet! It is very nice though.
