🚨 Time is running out- July 19th

Google is shutting down #AlbumArchive in July & time is running out to get a Google Takeout of the #photos saved there.

#Google Buzz, Google Plus, Voice, Hangout and Google products photos are archived there.

They migrated a lot of the #photos to other places within your Google account spectrum, but some are left there, long forgotten

Many users don't even know Album Archive exists.

TIL about "Album Archive", that Google informed me over email that it is shutting down. Checked out and found a few old pics from Blogger and Hangouts there. Who gave this unused product this terrible generic name?!

Good riddance and another reminder to not rely on any new Google service for anything. If it's not one of their top services, it is likely to be killed at some point.

This is literally me archiving a screenshot of a Google service that was shut down (Google+) that was placed in a service named Archive that is also being shut down (Google Album Archive).

Google is shutting down Album Archive. Starting on July 19, 2023, Album Archive will no longer be available.
