On Tuesday, we stood with the residents of al-Bustan in Silwan, outside the District Court in Jerusalem as they fight to remain in their homes.
Once again, Palestinian families are dragged into court just to defend their right to continue living in homes they’ve lived in for generations.
The court did not stop the demolitions.
It did not protect the families.
It only offered limited, temporary delays and some homes may be demolished almost immediately.
That means hundreds of families are still living with the same fear, knowing this system is preparing to force them out.
For years, residents of al-Bustan have faced demolitions, legal pressure, and policies designed to remove them – and still, they continue to fight, holding on to their homes and their right to live with dignity.
Together we, Jewish and Palestinian activists, said no to expulsion, no to home demolitions !
This reality of ethnic cleansing must end.
