End of Year Drama Challenge 2025

Day 23 : A drama that made you think?

Lots of dramas made me think. But medical dramas never fail to make me overthink on ethical subjects.
- #kdrama #traumacode (2025) exposes well the conflict between good care and cost of care/healthcare economy.
- #jdrama #afterschooldoctor (2024) raises reflections about the doctor-patient relationship.
- #kdrama #heartsurgeons (2018) gives scenes of medical staff meetings where they debates ethical questions about doing (or not) heart surgery for each case.

Jour 20 : Quelle scène t’a ému(e) ?
#CalendrierAventDrama
#jDrama #kDrama #twDrama #cDrama

Too many to count, but this was a very sweet moving moment:
#jDrama #AfterSchoolDoctor a child totally mute except when alone with her mother, goes looking for the doctor who's been trying to help her. She thinks he's lost, he's actually looking for her in her favourite quiet refuge/hiding place. She comes up behind him, & speaks softly but audibly. A lovely reward for several eps of hard work

8.5/10

#jdrama #afterschooldoctor

10/10 for #JDrama #HokagoKarte #AfterSchoolDoctor Intelligent, honest and brave, with OUTSTANDING performances by so many very young actors. When was the last time you saw a #KDrama in which one of the key recurring character, who featured in every episode and contributed to multiple storylines, looked like this?
TFW you take a break from #CDrama #TheFirstFrost to watch a short 10-ep #JDrama #AfterSchoolDoctor only to find it is VERY Japanese. Candid, unsentimental, bold - currently halfway through a 2-ep storyline about self-harm by a 5th-grader!
