Amerikaanse in Groningen die paspoort inleverde eist ‘astronomische vergoeding’ terug
Een van oorsprong Amerikaanse vrouw uit Groningen eist samen met drie andere voormalige Amerikanen de ‘astronomische’ vergoeding terug die ze betaalde om haar Amerikaanse paspoort in te kunnen leveren. Rachel Heller (61), die in Connecticut opgroeide, maar de VS in 1997 verruilde voor Nederland, vertelt tegen <i>NBC News</i> dat het opzeggen van haar nationaliteit als ,,een pijnlijke scheiding” voelde.
