I am lucky to have one of the upgraded KIEV 88 cameras, called the "ARAX MLU" (for mirror lock-up). It is no longer available (presumably they ran out of KIEV 88 stock), but they will rework your KIEV, if you send it in.
The #KIEV 88 were #Hasselblad-500-lookalike, clunky #Soviet-era medium format cameras which sort-of worked.
#ARAX completely reworks them into wonderful precision instruments for the Pentacon-Six bayonet developed in East Germany. The fake leatherette isn't perfect, but the mechanics are great, and there are some superb Carl-Zeiss-Jena lenses for it, such as the #Sonnar 180/2.8 or the #Flektogon 50/4.0.
