One thing that helps: skip vague prompts like "teach me marketing." Be specific about format and depth. If you're an entrepreneur, use AI to run through customer objections or practice your pitch.

Talking with the ABC about why predictive text seems so janky nowadays. TLDR: it’s probably AI’s fault again www.abc.net.au/news/2026-06... #ArtificialIntelligence #AIEducation #AIEdu #AIInEd #AIInEdu #EduSky

Is predictive text giving you mistakes and 'hallucinations'? You're not alone

If internet chatter is to be believed, the intuitiveness and efficiency of predictive text and autocorrect have fallen off a cliff in recent years. But while researchers agree there has been a demonstrable decline in quality, the increasing sophistication of what phones can do is also making errors more prominent.

"What are some of the less obvious ways that AI could harm students? "

That seems like an entirely unbiased "help" you're providing.

Rather than (seemingly) providing another ideological AiBad essay, may I advise to have a look what other, more stable nations are doing with #aieducation in schools.

I am forming an AI in K-12 CS Community of Practice (working title: "AI-proof your CS students"). The goal is for teachers to help each other develop CS skills in students that can't be replaced by LLM chatbots, and to view AI with balanced eyes (re: society/planet).

Today I was in a Github in Education conference, and began following links and Slacks. It felt like bringing my hand to a live vacuum nozzle! Good thing I'm immune, thanks to Mastodon!

“And so perfect parallel constructions fill the lecture halls, the take-home tests, the school newspapers, and perhaps even the idiom of student chatter.”

Hello Mastodon 👋

As AI enters children’s lives, we need to teach them not just how to use it — but how to do so with compassion and wisdom.

I created “Be Kind to Your Robot Friends” — a freely available K-12 framework for ethical AI literacy.
