#AHIP We actually followd the example of Taiwan, which once had a high death toll from hepatitis B. The U.S. learned from Taiwan's example. Unlike Denmark, though, we don't have a national health service, and 18% of pregnant women aren't screened for hep B.

On Tues, #AHIP, a lobbying group representing the #HealthInsurance industry, announced its members will continue to cover shots under the pre #ACIP vaccine schedule until end of 2026.…Parents could, hypothetically, also pay for #vaccines out of pocket. The disproportionately #poor children covered by #VFC do not have the same wiggle room. What shots they can get for #free, & when, are directly tied to ACIP’s recommendations.
